4/10We eat paella a lot in many restaurants. Our paella here had virtually NO seafood. Yes, plenty of rice and little seafood. It was so disappointing. It was shocking how brightly lit the room was for a restaurant. Fortunately, we had a wonderful paella at 7 Portes.

10/10starting with the waiters, a 10/10, super attentive, the food very good, good quantity and quality, and the prices according to what is consumed, no doubt it is to repeat…

9.5/10Once we found the restaurant everything was fine. However, I was under the impression that the location was at the Olympic port where I had eaten previously, only to find upon arrival at the port that that particular restaurant was closed and that the one we needed to go to was back in town, only a couple of blocks from where we started off from. Once we got the, after spending €30 on taxis, we had a great evening. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive. That location didn't quite have the ambiance of the Olympic port, but was more in the style of tradition Spanish. But was quite pleasant nevertheless. For seafood, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

9/10Our hotel recommended this Mediterranean restaurant; great choice! We had the My Way menu which lets you chose a cold appetizer, a warm appetizer, an entree and a dessert!! Are you kidding me?!?! And for $28.00 Euros!! It was scrumptious! The only comment that I made was; where’s the music? It was quiet, but hey, the food was very good.

6/10The standard tapas fare - food and wine - are reasonably priced and of standard quality. after 3 tapas plates and a bottle of wine (total euro 64) we asked for some sauteed shrimp in garlic butter - suggested by the waiter. The size was no more than 25/30 per pound and a total of 6. we were charged an additional euro 50 for this. Total bill 114 euro. This is outrageous. Stick with the mass produced standard tapas if you go to this restaurant.

5.5/10The front of the restaurant is well lighted and looks cute. But we ended up in the back of the restaurant with way too bright light. It was pretty but didn’t had the right ambiance nor even music. I’ve the ober/ runner had told us that it is because they’ve (re-)opend not long ago. Some of the hosts gentlemen were nice. But I noticed some of the people were hoping for us to leave sooner than later, probably because there went so much wrong that they had too walk to many time for to many things and we had too many questions. I think we got lost in translation a couple of times because my Spanish ain’t amazing and my Catalan is terrible but their English also not good enough for serving or advise their services or products. In my country also work in the hospitality and restaurant services. Our orders were taken wrong. So at the end my husband had an 2 pax paella while ordering one and I had no dinner because they forgot my order. What can happen. - One of the runner kept out serving the wrong person first if you follow by restaurant etiquette is what more guests were complaining about. We not really bother but did saw it happen. - holding is hand under the glass of cold white wine makes it go more quickly to room temperature but I thought mister runner (striped shirt) really loved the way it looked. - they filet your fish but maybe it’s better to let the guest it self let it do until requested it because there were still too much fish bones in it as I didn’t expected it and couple got stuck in my throat what hurt like crazy. - The food itself is okay but my dorade could use some salt and lemon definitely after waiting so long after my husband was already finished with his food. - they leave empty glasses of stuff you don’t need way to long on the table - But a full small bowl with olives got taken away from the table without asking. So we’re there an couple more things that was a couple of things I think should be worked on. We didn’t order dessert we went to another location for that. They sometimes have an hasty/ stress impression. - atmosphere - language for foreigner guest or serving options for these type of guests - service etiquette training - don’t forget maybe people don’t really speak great but understand everything you say. Will ask you especially tourists to watch you bill before paying or leaving. + But the hosts were nice and are really social in their native language + looks clean + Interior has potential as it look good, only cost lighting and some soft background music would add on too. + The hosts know their products This can be a really cool place and the food was okay but definitely room to grow.
