We ate on the Terrace which was very nice in terms of ambience. My starter, sautéed scallops on pureed potatoes was not great at all. The potato puree was lumpy and cold. And they only served 3 very small scallops! My husband had the "Ligurian" starter which featured pesto (very good!), a terrine, cheese and salami and he really enjoyed it. I ordered linguine with langoustine for my Main and it was okay; not great in terms of taste! My husband ordered the traditional pasta with pesto and it was very good (I had some of his dish given that my dish was not the best!) This kitchen could do so much better in my view - given the location and hotel... Maybe a new head chef??

Grilled scallops were frozen, grilled fish was bland, potatoes were cold, olives were very salty, tomatoes sauce didn’t serve any purpose in that dish, pesto trofie was below cooked and very salty, bread basket was very dry and one would think it’s two days old. Service was average.

I came at the last reservation of the evening, so i ended up being the last person there. I did not feel rushed at all. I ordered a first, second, and dessert and they were beautifully presented with taste to match. Would definitely come back.

We both ordered beef fillet for our mains but we were not asked for our preference for how we would like them cooked. Both steaks turned out to be overdone to our taste. Starters and desserts were good.

Never got the desert but were charged for it - complicated trying to explain that. Staff seemed to be preoccupied as there were very few in the restaurant Food was very nice but wouldn’t go back

Whilst the setting of this restaurant is beautiful and service was very warm (especially from the waiter Marco who was very nice to us and wonderful to talk to), I am very sad to say however that the food was absolutely unacceptable. Even if prices were lower (and this restaurant's pricing is not low, especially considering its small portion sizes) the quality of the food would still not have been justified. The food would rank as some of the worst, bland, insipid pasta and dry, flavourless meat that myself and my friends had ever tasted. The meat that I ordered was also clearly overcooked from what I had requested (rare), which the chef simply denied when we pointed this out. I do not make these comments lightly either as I had not a single complaint to make about any of the other dozen restaurants that we visited during our trip to Italy. Therefore even though the setting and service (from the waiter; most certainly not the chef) were applaudable, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant whatsoever. Even awarding a rating as high as 4/10 pains me.

The steak was medium rather than rare, cold and absolutely tasteless. Same were the sea bass (which was also burned to dry) and the vegetables served on the side, not even salted. The food was served on cold plates, which is very rare today. The only upsides are a beautiful restaurant hall, decent add flexible service and the low prices (with the Fork discount). Still no excuse for managing to ruin even the plain meals...
