Amazing dinner at Gum Tree tonight. Fantastic food, drinks, ambiance and service. We had seafood rice and an amazing beef tartare that was the best we have ever had. We will definitely be back. This is definitely a hidden gem in Carvoeiro. They even have a very relaxing looking bar area out front that we will come back to try.

The Gum Tree has been there under different management for years. Have avoided the place due to past experience although the setting is lovely. Someone recommended so we decided to venture. Food was excellent. A little bit of confusion when we arrived in that no one asked if we would like a drink and we sat there quite some time wondering what the set up was? Waiters were very friendly. Enjoyed the evening very much.

Honestly this was the perfect evening! Beautiful surroundings, staff with a sense of humour and some of the best food - the vongole was the best Ive ever had! Thank you for a great evening and for being so nuce to our 21 month old granddaughter x

A lovely sweet girl is welcoming you, she really does her very best. We had some drinks at the Irish pub and saw she worked very hard. So we decided to make a reservation. It all looked very promising and it really was. The whole swimming pool to ourselves:-) We had a lovely evening, the octopus tartar is the best!

Very good food we had the lamb & a surf & turf skewer a large selection of steak, chicken wrapped in bacon , fish red peppers & onions and 2 tiger prawns. The only downside was sitting round the pool at night the plate of lamb was not heated & the food cooled quickly Although the lamb was cooked perfectly. The service was a little hit & miss a busy Saturday night & being on the far side of the pool it was sometimes not easy to catch the waiters attention although they were very polite & professional during the night. The added bonus was live entertainment by a very good singer. We will be back as it was very reasonably priced.

The restaurant is almost in a garden, surrounded by trees. It is possibel to eat by a pool. The food is very good, we have stayed in Carvoeiro many years for vacation. This restaurant is one of the best

A hidden gem set off the beaten track. The food was delicious and served in beautiful surroundings. All the staff were very welcoming and incredibly helpful. Cannot wait to return.
