5/10The food was only okay, nothing special and if you have limited time in Rome it’s not worth wasting a dining experience here. The staff were nice but the place was so busy the service was not great as they were run off their feet trying to keep things going. I do not recommend this place.

10/10Great food in a central spot for a very affordable price. The staff is friendly and will help you go through the menu. I do advise to book a table as they get really busy at meal time. Visited 2 times already and was 100% happy every time!

2.5/10Visited this restaurant for the second time, first time round we ordered "today's special" which is lobster + other seafood pasta and mushroom truffle pasta. The lobster and seafood is overcooked and lobster flesh is quite powdery and pasty. Not a good way to handle seafood. The second time we visited, I don't know what came over us but we decided to order the lobster pasta again. This time, the lobster is half raw! At the start of the meal the lobster body was okay, but towards the end, when we cracked open the pincer (with our hands, asked a few times for the tools, but not given) the flesh was raw! The waiter offered to recook the particular part that was raw, quite strange. When we declined, they made another suggestion which was to replace just the pincer of the lobster for us??? Felt pretty disgusted so we didn't take either option and left. Was our last meal in Rome so it left a bad taste in our mouth. Kinda sad to end with this bad experience given that Rome is quite the gastronomic city. Do yourself a favor, if you have no other choice but to come here, don't order seafood based dishes

10/10We returned here after 8 years and it was as good as we remembered. My daughter and I came together in 2015 when she was 8 years old and loved it so when we came back with my 11 year old son and daughter this time, but I wondered if it would still be good - it was! And to cap it all I’d emailed with the reservation to ask them to say ‘welcome back’ to my daughter and they made a point of coming to say that. Delighted.

6/10I booked a table through TheFork. When I went, I was assigned the inner most table, next to the kitchen where waiters are passing by all the time. The table was not prepared, and they had to rearrange tables. I asked to be moved elsewhere, and at first the waiter was hesitant, but upon insisting they moved us. The food was good, but shame on the service. Almost spoiled our special occassion.

6/10Food is good but served slow for us. The rest of the tables around us seemed to all be served faster. The veal cutlet saltimbocca was way, way overcooked but the rest is decent. When we are about to pay the bill, the waiter asked how much tip I was going to give…. Now that’s a bit odd in of itself, but I replied 15, which, in a restaurant that already charges service per person, an additional around 10% shouldn’t be ample, but he claimed to have misunderstood me and charged 150 Euro which would make the tip over 25 Euro. I find it sketchy.

10/10Worth the wait to get in we had a reservation but not sure they really counts we had to wait for around 20mins which was helped by the Prosecco they gave us while we waited in the queue. Once seated we had lovely wine and our food was excellent to start with we had mussels & clams along with bruschetta our mains we had a fillet steak with was like velvet, carbonara which was divine & tomato with mozzarella pasta, food was outstanding done walk here run run run you won’t regret it excellent value. Thank you to Jene who looked after us.

9.5/10Although we had a reservation via Fork, there wasn’t any reserved table for us. Otherwise they solved it in 2 min. The food was very tasty and very large portion. When I asked for the receipt they ‘forgot’ again that I booked via Fork (-20% on all food). The second receipt was fine. In this situation the waiter’s question how much do you want to tip me was a bit strange. But! The food was really excellent!

10/10The greatest taste of carbonara is here ! All the staff is friendly and Hostaria de Pastini is a great place, good location, we have been there also in 2015 and came back for the good taste

10/10There are so many restaurants to choose from in Rome. We were staying near the Pantheon and having looked at various reviews we decided to try Hostaria di Pastina. It proved to be an excellent choice!!. We ate there for all 4 nights of our stay - good choice of food, great Pizza & Pasta. Very friendly and helpful service. Highly recommended - we will definitely go back when we are next in Rome.

9/10Had dinner and evening drink in Hostaria de' Pastini and I must say the reviews we read got confirmed. Excellent food quality and good and friendly service. Will definitely go back next time we're in Rome.

10/10OMG I don’t think I have ever had better Italian food than today. I don’t even know how it is possible to order so much and to have everything taste soo good. The service was amazing, the chef herself came out several times to check up on everyone. The waitresses were so attentive, I’m combing back tomorrow. Wow!!!!!

10/10We return to this restaurant each and every time we come back to Rome and then we come back several times during our trip. Honestly I don’t know where you can find better quality food and service in Rome. The waiters are so nice, and the food is so delicious and being right in the heart of the centre with all the commotion outside is just makes our Roman vacation unique each and every time.
