Capranica is a gorgeous and spacious restaurant that feels dipped in luxury and the olden times. The service is as polite as you’d expect, and it’s easy to relax and get carried away in the delicate background piano music. The food however, is blah, I’m sorry to say. Nothing we had was of any real substance; nothing had the real taste you’d expect from a restaurant in Italy, with such tremendous history no less. It’s unfortunate - it would have been lovely to have a great experience bursting with flavors in such beautiful surroundings, but it simply doesn’t seem to be the case here.

we had a very nice dinner. Food was amazing. We tried some antipasti with vegetables that we didn't know before. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is beautiful and have a good location. I recommend it

Hard to think of a more perfect place to spend a slow afternoon with friends. Simple food, beautifully cooked, good wines, attentive service and a great relaxed ambience. World class Cace e Pepe, perfect Carciofi, beef exactly right, etc. Slow, joy.

Wonderful ambience and atmosphere. Great service and lovely food. So relaxing in a busy area. Old school Rome. Great traditional food. Perfect for a dinner after a busy day. We loved it. Good value as well. The cocktails next door were special. Thank you.

One of the best meals we had in Rome. Service was great ! Waiter helped us pick out a nice wine and had great recommendations for food. I have the gnocchi and it was delicious! Would highly recommend!
