6.5/10Food wasn’t great with it being a “Japanese Izakaya”. There weren’t much grill choices and the service staff should be trained in Japanese hospitality.

10/10Ikoya Izakaya offers an outstanding dining experience! The food is delicious, with each dish expertly prepared and bursting with authentic flavors. The service is very good friendly, attentive, and professional. However, when comparing the portion sizes to other restaurants of similar quality and menu offerings, they fall short. The portions here are noticeably smaller, especially when you consider the price point. While the quality justifies the cost, the portion not larger servings would enhance the value and align it more closely with competitors. Overall, if you’re looking for top-notch Japanese cuisine with very good service, this is the place to go—but be prepared for smaller portion and high price.

8.5/10Everything (food and waiters) was good. We arrived few minutes late because we are tourists and could not find our way to the restaurant so the receptionniste gave us a bad table even if the restaurant was not busy. When we asked him to give us another table he said : I gave you this table because you were late. What a punishment!

10/10+1Fantastic experience! Attentive service and good quality ingredients for great food. They recommended the 🍆 eggplant, shrimps, miso as a starter which was really delicious (pity we didn’t take a photo 📸) The beef tataki was also amazing 🥩 and so it is the ramen 🍜 Only miss was the salmon maki, which for our taste it was too strong on wasabi, but we mentioned that to the manager and they agreed to change it without hesitation, amazing detail. All in all, it is a beautiful experience for Japanese food, izakaya style, in the very center of Barcelona 💥

10/10Very Authentic restaurant, with real Japanese dishwes with a modern touch. Elegant, quiet atmosphere. Small plates and amazing quality of the food; especially fresh fish, like tuna. Not Manu vegan/vegeterian
