One of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been in Barcelona. Amazing and lovely service and the food is into another level. Also, having the opportunity to sit in front of the chefs made the whole difference I will definitely come back!

Food wasn’t great with it being a “Japanese Izakaya”. There weren’t much grill choices and the service staff should be trained in Japanese hospitality.

Ikoya Izakaya offers an outstanding dining experience! The food is delicious, with each dish expertly prepared and bursting with authentic flavors. The service is very good friendly, attentive, and professional. However, when comparing the portion sizes to other restaurants of similar quality and menu offerings, they fall short. The portions here are noticeably smaller, especially when you consider the price point. While the quality justifies the cost, the portion not larger servings would enhance the value and align it more closely with competitors. Overall, if you’re looking for top-notch Japanese cuisine with very good service, this is the place to go—but be prepared for smaller portion and high price.
