Booked on the spur of the moment, best meal we had in Barcelona I'd say. Proper authentic cuisine, brilliantly done, reasonably priced. We also had a 7 year old with us and there were authentic dishes he was happy to try too

Food was excellent. Skip the sangria. One of the less tasty ones we had. The house wine is great though. The card machine at the place was broken, we were not warned before sitting down and eating. Fortunately one of us had cash. Otherwise, we would be sent on wild goose chase at 11pm to find a bancomat. Bathrooms need a good cleaning...

The dishes were delicious but I (as a tourist) didn't feel welcome by the waiter, my glass of wine and plates landed on the table with higher speed and noise than it was necessary. Seemed to be frequently visited by locals though.

we sought a restaurant that was a local hangout. we found it. friendly staff, excellent food, friendly setting. good sized portions and good value for the money. a note to tourists.... be adventurous and order the things you don't know .... the sausage and chips are great..... but the place offers do much more.

Small but nice place in Barri Gotic Barcelona. Good service and excellent food for a good price. Bin there twice during my 12-day stay in Barcelona. Best restaurant in town

Fantastic lunch at Txirimiri today! The table in the front window so we could watch the world go by was an excellent start, and then the food came.... The marinated anchovies and the pan con tomate came out together, so we combined them - Inspired! If we hadn't ordered so much else we definitely would have ordered another round. Go here.

Great food and wine. Despite the actual situation the menu offers several possibilities. Tapas are excellent as well meat dishes. Service is also great.

My first comment is that the music played at the restaurant was much too loud, and the music played was awful - 70’s and 80’s music, blaring loud KISS, hair metal... this set the tone and turned my stomach by the time we left. Our server was very nice, however. Regarding the food, two of the dishes stood out as being very good - slices of pork with potatoes served over a sauce that contained apples. Also, the quail with thick-cut curled potato chips. The other dishes were just okay - artichokes with white asparagus and peas was overcooked and too soft and mushy. That same combination with added carrots and an egg on top was another fish we ordered - again the consistency of the vegetables was too soft and not very flavorful. We did not eat dessert, couldn’t wait to leave the noisy restaurant.

Rustic & delicious! Great Pinxtos, we even enjoyed some tapas & all for little money.
