Hostile reception! Zero ambiance. Mediocre food including burnt yes burnt potatoes. Uninterested slightly scary waiters. Couldn’t wait to leave. The wine was ok.

Great food and excellent service. The lobster ravioli were perfect the best we have had all week.Ambiente jut right. A small gem on lake Garda who should not be missed!!!

The food at Il Philo stands up to the many positive reviews from others. While the restaurant did not have our Fork reservation they seated us promptly. Appetizer of a shad “sandwich “ was novel and good. Primo dishes of fusilli with peas and squash flowers and my companion’s eggplant parmigiana were flavorful. Both secondi offerings of branzino with asparagus and pork with apples were delicious and very generous.

Great restaurant in the centre of the village, lovely and quiet environment, with impeccable service and tasty dishes. A good choice if you want to dine in style in Desenzano del Garda.
