10/10We had a great time at Jack's, it's truly a beautiful restaurant, since the moment we arrived we were greeted at the door and taken to our table by the waitress who helped off our coats. Elena was very attentive since we arrived, she right away offered us drinks based on our taste and especially nice it was that Jack's had alcohol free champagnes, that my tee total partner could enjoy and I was offered a beautiful red wine. During the meals I asked Elena for a surprise birthday cake if possible for my partner and she did it, to say the least we were both amazed, she managed to even sing along Happy Birthday and brought the cake with a firework on top. We had an amazing time, thank you again Jack's and Elena, hope to be back soon. Definitely recommend this place in the center of Bern.

8.5/10Excellent evening out in Bern. I can see why this is billed as an institution - the greeting, service and care taken was excellent. Menu is not imaginative but everything is well prepared - my only wish would be for some fresher/lighter options to be included - but it is true to its heritage and billing!

6/10I am surprised this restaurant had Michellin recognition. The carrot appetizer was ridiculously small, didn't even contain a medium size carrot worth of vegetable. Stroganoff was good but, everything was overpriced (I see that is someone who eats in a lot of nice restaurants). A good restaurant but, did not meet expectations

Food delicious and ambiance was very nice unfortunately the service was at this peak point (lunchtime) understaffed or overwhelmed. We had a quite long waiting time for our meals.

9/10A typical "brasserie parisienne" ambiance with a touch of class. Impeccably clean, very attentive service and quality dishes in relation with the theme. Definitely worth a trip, especially in view of the fact that there are less and less "brasseries" or "bistrots" around us. Perfect location two steps away from Bern main station.
