6.5/10We came to eat at the restaurant looking forward for the Chef tasting menu. I'll start with the good: the cocktails were great and the dessert of the of tiramisu was tasty. The presentation was also very nice. The rest of the meal was not up to the standard we anticipated for a restaurant with a Michelin recommendation. The appetizer of a raw fish was good but tasteless, It lack spices and salt. the main course was a version of eggplant Parmesan which was very poor, the eggplant was undercooked, and the fish was overcooked. The bread that was served with the meal was average and not super fresh . The server was very nice but it was hard to understand what they were saying. Sorry to say but this was a big disappointment.

7/10The service was excellent and contributed significantly to a very pleasant overall experience. We especially appreciated the warm hospitality, the charming garden with its inviting atmosphere, and the thoughtful touches such as the amuse-bouche and dessert with coffee. The food itself, however, was less impressive: the pasta dishes and the filet were solid but neither particularly original nor culinary highlights. Similar quality could likely be found in many other restaurants. Overall, it was still an enjoyable evening, carried above all by the outstanding service.

10/10We sat in the very pretty garden. The service was excellent and the food and drinks were amazing. We had the fish tasting menu with wine pairing, everything was delicious and so beautifully presented. A perfect evening.

10/10Everything! The food was delicious, locally sourced and beautifully presented. Our waiter was delightful and the service was impeccable. The Fina Hanami rosé and the Pietradolce Etna Rosso wines chosen by the sommelier paired delightfully with our first and second courses. And even though we were full after our primi and secondi, we still couldn’t resist dessert.

2/10We visited here for our honeymoon. I confirmed that it was a Michelin guide through an app called The fork and visited with great expectation. We paid 290 euros for 2 people (200 euros for food, 75 euros for champagne, I don't know the other 15 euros). Among the raw fish, the squid was definitely in bad condition. Other than that, the food was delicious. The worst of the worst was the service itself. The server was delivering food, spilling food on my body, and cleaning up the spilled food without saying sorry, it was just an accident. Understand. Also I ordered an 85 euro Donafugata brut here. I didn't know at first, so I just received it, took a picture, and checked it, and when I asked why it had changed, I was just saying that it was better without saying sorry. We ordered the wine because we wanted to eat it, but we couldn't be mad because we were on our honeymoon, so we just passed it with understanding. We waste 290 euro in here.

4/10Not at the standard which they think they are. It is different to the other restaurants in the town, but if you expand your perspective to the rest of the world, outside Taormina, it is absolutely not a top tier dinning experience. The wrong cutlery was placed on the table for the food being served. The timing of the wine pairing was completely out of sync with the food. The wine glasses had water stains. The food was nice, especially compared with the rest of Taormina; but the overall experience, considering the environment and the service, was not good.

Dear Mr Haywood, let us first apologize if your experience did not attend your expectations. Let us point out that we do not think to be special or better than other colleagues, we simply do our best to welcome our guests in a refined ambience, not crowded, relaxed and with a good food and service. It is highly rare that our waiters can be wrong with the cutlery and it is rare to have water stains in our glasses, as we use a highly professional glass washer which avoids any problems with it. I will for sure investigate about the wine service, but I'm sure that it is not our standards to fail the sync with food. We are generally recommended from guests from all over the world,so that is really rare to experience such problems in our restaurant. However, again, we do not feel to be perfect but, for sure, we are hospitable and very attentive to our guests' needs and expectations. PS. I personally experience restaurants all over the world, so I perfectly know what's an international food experience.

10/10By far our best meal in Taormina! We went there twice after a few disappointments/tourist traps in town! Food is cooked to perfection, service is outstanding and the outdoor patio is an oasis in the middle of this busy town. Thank you Kiste Team!

6/10For a beautiful restaurant, service was mediocre at best. When we arrived we couldn’t find anyone to seat us. It then took way too long to be greeted with menus and drinks. We have a gluten allergy in our party and ordered gluten free pasta. It was served undercooked and hard. They then came back with overcooked pasta. The service just really fell flat for the level of restaurant this claims to be. Highlights: The wine was great. The atmosphere was stunning.

As you know, our restaurant has two entrances: as you were late, you and your friend decided to check separetely on the two entrances. I personally greeted you at the entrance of the garden and you went to call back your friend.When our guests are seated, we ask for water and we bring menus. We took your order after 10 minutes, after having satisfied your questions about celiac options. Then, please be aware that we serve gluten free pasta at the perfect time of Cooking. When we served you pasta, you did not even taste and ask our waiter to cook it again as you don’t like al dente pasta. We did it for you, but we are sure that you perfectly know that when you cook gluten free e pasta over the time, it tends to overcook very fast.
