Great restaurant if we only look at the food. Service was a bit slow, yet friendly. But the ambience is bad, the tables, the chairs, or the area where you are supposed to sit, everybody comes in, looks first and tries to understand how to sit there. Need some improvement.

I had a really enjoyable dinner at Peixola close to Cais do Sodré. I started with the Salmon Tartar, the Crayfish Croquette, and the Octopus Taco with red curry sauce and salsify chips - all three were delicious, with great textures and flavors that worked really well together. For the main course, I had the Black Tiger Shrimp with truffle purée and kimchi mayonnaise. The shrimp were great, but the truffle purée was definitely the highlight of the dish. For dessert, I chose the Caramel Petit Gateau with raspberry ice cream. It seemed like a simple option, but the combination of flavors was really well thought out and ended the meal perfectly. The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant has a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Overall, a great experience that I’d be happy to repeat.

Excellent fish and seafood, in a nice casual setting, at a very reasonable price! Would highly recommend this to anyone who loves fish and seafood. Big shout outs to the tuna tataki, the peruvian cerviche, the sea bream in nori crust and the miso octopus, which were all sensational! I would 100% visit this place again if I were back in Lisbon.
