I ordered the famous Flemish dish and except for the disappointing taste, I also found a hair. I ordered an appetizer afterwards (I don't know why, I felt bad for the waitress who was nice, I guess) and I got charged with the main dish, which was of course more expensive than the appetizer.

Good restaurant to try local food in Lille. It's a bit expensive as so the city in general so make shure to bring a bit more money But the food and the waiters are so nice

This is a great restaurant for people who want to discover the atmosphere, decor, and the food of Lille and its region. We asked the owner to chose everything for us, for the beer to the dessert, he was spot on! We had a great evening.

Not sure if this is common in Lille but on Sunday evening 8pm (public holiday, Marie l'Assomption) there was only 1 other table occupied, that doesn't help the atmosphere but that can't be helped by the restaurant. Service was really very friendly and quick. My carbonade flamande came in a tasty sauce but I found the fries soggy and not tasty at all (undercooked, or microwaved?) but my friend was hungry after his salad so he finished them. No Ch'ti beer despite a huge sign in the center of the dining room.

Difficult to communicate in English, however we manage to do it at the end. We ordered the Burgers, they were good. Value for money was good if you manage to book a table with the disccount.

Nice food overall, excellent carbonnade, but little disappointed that they had no mussels left despite being a large part of the menu. The new menu had not yet been translated to English so together with incredibly small font in dark surroundings it was very difficult to read....could be my age too!! Staff friendly, give it a try.
