Very authentic feeling, setting on the sidewalk this lovely May evening and eating good traditional/local food. I especially enjoyed my starter - a lovely quiche lorraine, Nice service added to the experience.

Very nice and cozy restaurant close to the City Center of Lille. Great service, very friendly personell, also speaking very good English. Wine was excellent, food very traditional and tasty. In summary a restaurant which I can highly recommend.

We arrived during a quieter time and were able to be seated right away. We chose to sit inside to avoid cigarette smoke but sadly, one of the owners decided to smoke right in front of the door with the door open. Thankfully it was before our food arrived. Service was polite and the food was served quite quickly and was decent portions. The ribs were supposed to come with panfried vegetables according to the menu, with a surcharge for salad but was served with a salad and no panfried vegetables. No explanation was given for the change. The food we received, however, was delicious. We were glad we only ordered a main and no extra sides, entrees or desserts as the meal was very filling. When it came time for the bill, we couldn't get their attention so had to go to the bar to ask for the bill and pay. We had to remind them about the discount offer. They gave us a discount but applied only a 10% discount instead of the 20% discount we should have received.

This little restaurant was a great find. We arrived a few minutes before our 7pm booking time, but they gave us a table to sit, a drink, and menus so we could relax. When the food came it was excellent, the mixed platter was HUGE, meats, cheese, breads, salad and fries. Delicious but a very large portion. The beef carbonate was excellent, it was served with fries which I wasn't expecting. Extremely tasty. Wine selection very good. Overall an excellent evening. Service was brisk but efficient and friendly. We will go back next time we're in Lille.

Due to booking with "the Fork" I had reminders and they even asked me to confirm our reservation. All good, but when we got there at 7.30pm on a Monday, we were the only ones there. Both staff (waiter and barman) were sitting on their outdoor tables smoking so no one greeted us, I thought they were customers so when they said hello to us from behind, it was odd. No one else showed up, which is also fine, but why didn't they just say, sorry but we are closing due to no business, and we would have gone to one of the other restaurants were all about 50-70% full so we would have still gotten a meal, no issue Considering we were the only customers there, the paper towel, waste basket in the washrooms was overflowing. Throughout the meal they were restocking the bar and doing other odds and ends. Fine if you are busy, but they weren’t, so perhaps don’t have a cigarette break when you have so much work to do. The main course was just served and it was obvious no more customers were coming so they started to put chairs on the tables, mopping the floor which comes across as sign language to “finish up and get out”. Music was odd too. We could hear the music from the kitchen but that was a highlight. There was music downstairs were there was no one and no music in the main part of the restaurant, where we were. Finally the 2nd white wine on the wine list, we didn’t know, so we asked and was told it was fruity and dry. My god it was so sweet, but we took ownership and still paid for it. The Chardonnay at the top was the better option. Shame as I really looked forward and loved the Bone Marrow, and the Chef was great but it most certainly was not their best day

This restaurant is a real gem. I went there with my family to celebrate my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary and we had a fantastic evening. Our waiter had fantastic humour and the food and ambience was great.

I had a very pleasant evening here, the food was very good and the service was excellent. It’s a shame that when you book via The Fork you are penalised for being a solo diner. Any party number upwards of two gets a 20% discount, however if you dine alone you do not.

Lovely little bistrot, glad we found it. Staff very friendly and helpful, and we were interested to learn a little bit of the history of the area, particularly the Ch'ti language & culture. Food and wine superb, lovely evening

Cheerful waiter serves great food at very friendly prices. The happy customers enjoy a friendly atmosphere in a charming old restaurant. Lots of wise locals have found the place. Tourists are welcomed in English if needed!
