Firstly, what went well: the service. The waiters were very courteous and helpful. The trout and the scrambled eggs starters were nice. However the rest of the food was a disappointment - particularly after reading all the good reviews. The “truffiflette” ( truffle version of the traditional tartiflette) was served cold, and the potatoes were hard and insufficient cooked. This made for an unpalatable starter, albeit very copious. The venison was also unevenly cooked, and hardly warm, as if it had been reheated quickly in a microwave. Same issue for the “home-made” fries, which were also hard and cold inside. I don’t know whether this poor experience is due to our late reservation (we booked a table for 9PM and by 9:15PM we were the last guests left in the room) but this was a rather disappointing meal.

We had a fantastic dining experience. The dishes were well-seasoned and beautifully presented. The staff was attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Prices were reasonable for the quality. I'd definitely return and recommend it to friends who appreciate good food served with care.
