Great view of the lake

Sandwiches were pleasant. Scones were fresh and warm. Pastry was delicious. Teas were great. Logistics could however be improved, for example there was a rather long waiting time ( > 8 minutes time lag) between teapots put on the table and when the food arrived. Missing milk, had to ask for it. Finally, the ambient lighting was a bit too dim, especially on this foggy day and just after sunset. Thanks for the nice time anyway.

The place is beautiful, the waiters are very kind and welcoming (thank you Charbel!). And the food is delicious and very fresh. Very generous quantities for the afternoon tea, with a beautiful view of the lake.

Lovely dining room in a great location the high tea was excellent and the service from Miranda was 1st class.

Lovely setting although when we were there the view of the lake was obscured by some kind of fair going on so all the stall tents blocked us from seeing much of the lake. The service and ambiance were first class however compared to an afternoon tea at a good hotel in London the food was not up to the same standard. I had the gluten free option but that was very different to the standard fare, with very basic chunky bread rolls and the sweet bites were not up to much. I’ll give it a miss next time.

This has become a small tradition for my husband and I where we hold an intimate celebrate at the Hotel d’Angleterre and each time we go, the food, the service, and the ambiance is exquisite.

Very attentive and friendly service. Enjoyable atmosphere with beautiful views of the lake. Finger sandwiches were a hit and miss. Decent scone and pastries.

The sandwiches and sweets were delightful, we really enjoyed the view. However the service was slow and waiting time was too long.

Service was not that good as a five star hotel. During our 2.5 hours dining afternoon tea, we got only once checked.

We had several different servers, which made the service a bit lacking. We had to wait a long time at the end to get our bill. Also, because we were speaking English, the server who came for the payment started talking about the tip…. Expecting a tip in Europe because the customers are American is not a good look.

We booked a table for the Afternoon Tea for our 3-year wedding anniversary. It was my husband’s first time, but I have done the high tea at least 3 times in the past and have always enjoyed it. Our waiter was very welcoming and friendly, which made the whole experience just lovely. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
