The food, setting and service were excellent. So much so, we dined there on consecutive evenings. We had the taster menu on the second night, which was superb - the octopus was outstanding! The fixed menu priced at €49 was good value given the quality of the cooking and produce. You can eat more cheaply elsewhere in Fontvieille, but as they, you get what you pay for! I would wholeheartedly recommend the Belvedere and will return when we are back in the area.

You are right, the menu IS good value, the quality of the produce used and the work that goes into every plate are exceptional and the vast majority of our customers recognize this. The octopus is one our chef's signature dishes, it's cooked in three different ways and thus becomes very tender. I suppose you were told that our chef is Japanese, even though our cusine is Mediterranean (with somes Japanese influence). The precision of execution in the Japanese cuisine is outstanding. We were very pleased with both the food and the service. Pleasant terrace and tasty choices. I especially liked the crème brulle foie gras.

It is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The food is always delicious, inventive and beautiful- the setting is warm and inviting and the service is outstanding. We highly recommend the Belvedere.

Charming. Unassuming. Peaceful. Delicious. Service was measured but not overly long. The wood burning oven puts out an amazing smell. It’s worth the trip.

This is a very pleasant restaurant with a fine and welcoming staff. There is fair value. In a country known for its devotion to superior cooking, the Belvedere has won the affection of locals and transients alike. This is an enjoyable and reliable venue for peaceful dining in a sector that could be overrun with too many day trippers.
