It was very quiet the evening we went. PSG/aArsenal and the eve before Ascension when most Parisians go away to “faire le pont” ( make a 5day weekend). Nonetheless we had a splendid meal with good wine and excellent service. We enjoyed the sensible bistro type fare: gravad lax, lamb shank and duck confit with crème caramel and very good apple tart to follow. Fair priced wine as well. Recommended!

The proprietor Franc was very warm and helpful, clearly loves and takes pride in his work. The menu, although limited at first glance, was excellent. Service was quick. I could see this a place frequented by the locals.

It feels like a neighborhood bistro that happens to have exceptional food. Most of the customers are locals which is always a good sign. We were left alone to enjoy our wine and chat for as long as we wanted before ordering our food. One of us had three courses, the other two, and we had a bottle of wine, all for £77.

It was beyond amazing. The food is top notch, the service by Franc is just the best and I love it so much, I came last time I was in Paris and it was on my list to go as soon as I have just come back this time. You won’t be disappointed. I had the confit duck which I dream about when I’m not here!

The grill beef I ordered was not supposed to be served as steak at first place, simply it was too tough to chew, basically that was part of caw could only grounded to make burgers.

The personal service alone made this dinner feel like a special occasion - direct, warm, professional. The feeling one might have by being shown around by a town mayor. There's no fuss here, no frowning at our pathetic half-french. This is a comfortable cafe with simple dishes where the flavors come from the fresh ingredients rather than added herbs or spice. A sturdy meal here with wine set us back a pittance when compared to a more googly/IGy restaurant.
