We had booked this restaurant for our last night in Paris expecting much more than what we actually got: mediocre food at high prices, reheated plates and staff that forgot half our orders... very dissapointing! Also, the chicken I ordered was probably the worst I have eaten in many years... :(( The only salving grace is the restaurant premises nicely decorated.

Six of us were in the upstairs room, very quiet (with no music - excellent) set out like a classy bookshop or library. Service was excellent. Food was good, but two of our number who ordered sardines were surprised to be served ... a tin of sardines, good though these were.

Salmon tatami, onion soup and asparagus veloute were outstanding. The duck dish about a B. Chicken piccata was so bad they finally comped us - which was nice. It was dry and had no sauce. Not at ALL a “chicken piccata”. Crème brûlée and chocolate dessert excellent. Service much slower than normal. Took us almost 2 1/2 hours to have dinner. Ambience always nice as are the comfy chairs.
