4.5/10I made a reservation online to celebrate my fiancé and I’s engagement and the host could not locate it, so they grabbed someone else to help us and they actually knew about our reservation and stuck us in the furthest corner of the restaurant. As the night continued, the food was just objectively bad. Stale bread, undercooked pasta, and an entirely uncooked pizza that we just asked to takeaway to toss in the trash. It almost felt like they were intentionally trying to get us to leave the entire time. I was really disappointed considering all the reviews on this app have it so highly rated and I actually had something worth celebrating, but I have genuinely had better experiences at chain restaurants. Looking into it further on Reddit, it would appear The Fork and Trip Advisor are essentially the same company and fabricate many reviews. Stick to Google reviews and stay away from Mit Bistro (unless you are Italian because they do handle those customers very differently).

7.5/10The restaurant is nice and staff is friendly. The food is not very great but nice to eat. The service charge per person they are taking is too much €3 per person. This should not be levied and they also charge for the bread without informing its chargeable. Little misleading to the customer.

9/10Nice surprise in Ostia. Beautiful location, cosy and nice to sit in the sun but protected from the wind. Warm welcome from the hosts

8.5/10Stumbled upon this gem thanks to The Fork's nifty discount and oh boy, was it a treat! Walking into Mit Bistrot, the vibe hit us right away—cool, moody greys teamed up with those snazzy teal chairs. Started off with a Supplí that was all kinds of yum. My buddy's carbonara? Spot-on and super tasty, he says. Now, my gnocchi with scampi were tasty for sure, but I was kinda playing 'Where's Waldo?' with the scampi. Wish there had been more because they were delish. Pro tip for the chef: tossing in a few raw scampi could really take this dish up a notch. The grilled Seppia, total showstopper! That dish alone's worth coming back for. Ended on a sweet note with a Raffaello—pretty good, even if it wasn't totally my jam. Props to the crew for keeping us hydrated and happy with drinks and bread that just kept coming. The staff nailed it—friendly and on the ball, making us feel right at home. And the bill? A cool 70€ after the discount. Total score for a night of fab food in a killer spot.
