I would rate 10** if I could. There’s is my favorite place in Portugal and every time I coming for holidays or business I coming there. This time I celebrate a meeting with my friend I haven’t seen for 29 years and we have a wonderful time and her and her family was very impressed with the service too.

The prefix menu was intriguing. I had a starter of a filo dough filled with goat cheese and drizzled with honey and balsamic vinegar. The pastry was perfection and it was accompanied with a perfectly dressed salad. The main was a glorious hake with a rice with cockles. It will haunt me; it was that good!

We were looking forward to dining at O’Convite and were very disappointed. It was our last meal before we returned home from our trip. My husband’s meal was okay. He had the octopus- said it was good but the potatoes were somewhat cold and had no flavor. My fish tasted as it was re-heated. The side dish Portuguese rice was watery. Our reservation was originally at 7:30pm. We called and asked to push it back to 8:30. Looking back, we wish would have canceled it. We were in and out under an hour. Skipped dessert. We felt rushed overall. Staff was ready to close. We wouldn’t expect this for a Michelin rated restaurant, which we have frequented on various occasions.

We were staying at the hotel where the restaurant is located. That, plus the amazing reviews it has, made for an obvious choice for our dinner. As the food is so great in Fátima, we were still full from lunch. As such, we skipped appetizers and only had some bread and olive oil to dip. For the main courses, we picked "old school" duck rice (arroz de pato "à antiga") and prawn "açorda", which is basically a bread paste with corianders and prawn. The duck rice was probably the best one I ever tasted in my life. What sets it apart from the classic version is, instead of having the duck meat pulled and mixed with the rice, it had a duck leg in the middle. To add to it, the rice is cooked with the duck fat and a bit of parmesan cheese. The end result is simply magnific and a joyous combination of tastes, with the sweetness of the fat mixing perfectly with the acidity of the cheese. The "açorda" was also incredibly tasty. I had been craving to eat some for some months and it hit the right spot. The amount of prawn was very generous, as was the portion in general. We didn't have room for dessert, so we just had some coffee which came with some cookies on the side. Overall, it was a great experience. The staff was very nice and attentive, and the menu is not pricey at all. We are very pleased with our meal and will definitely recommend it to anyone that passes through Fátima (or nearby)!

The food was very disappointing. Since the restaurant has a 9.4 on the fork and is even featured in the michelin guide, we were expecting great things. The service was good and the people were friendly. The food was bland, especially the vegetarian food of my girlfriend. The colon of my shrimp wasn't removed and the other fish was a bit overcooked. The fish stock was flavorsome, but not michelin guide good.
