It's a great restaurant! We had for dinner a fantastic beef which was absolutely delicious. I strongly recommend it.

We had a very nice meal here on Saturday night. The place filled up quickly with a good mix of locals and tourists. Service was great and the staff were polite, friendly efficient. The food was really good, the menu was not huge which is a reassuring sign for me. They also had a small amount of specials on the board. I had a really good beef tartare to start and Mr M had a cheese, walnut and Pear dish which was also very good. My main was the sliced steak, served rare, and Mr M had polpette. Both excellent, the sides were generous and very good. Mr M also had the gnocchi- simple tomato sauce with chews and pesto but this was absolutely perfect comfort food. Dessert was affogato and a chocolate tart, simple, tasty and couldn’t fault it. Our overall experience was that this is a very good restaurant that isn’t pretentious, does great food and the team seem happy to do that and they do it well.

In the street it seemed sketchy street with a restaurant in the middle of it, but when entering the whole game changed. Very beautiful decoration and friendly staff (we booked for the opening hour and got a bit earlier but we were invited to come in). The food itself its not great, we ordered a T-bone steak which was from a good size but had many nerves and had a lot of rosemary on it, which made the whole flavour of the steak disappear. For a T-bone it was not good. We also ordered skewerd of chicken, steak and beef, which was very good. The side dishes were also good but they didnt make up to the disappointment of the T-bone. It was sad because the restaurant was packed and the other dishes seemed really good.

I’m so happy I found this restaurant! It’s about 10 mins outside of the centre of Lucca but so worth it. The steak and roast potatoes were absolutely gorgeous and the staff was really attentive and lovely. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you

We speak little Italian. The owner spoke little English but we managed, and had some interesting conversations. Charming bloke. Nice evening and good food. Extremely inexpensive wine.

Everything was good, I asked for a medium steak but it was more rare. I was fine with this though just good to know

food was excellent, but a bit overpriced for my opinion. Even with the discount on and having not consumed alcohol the bill was still high. Everywhere these days got more expensive so thats how it is

Really nice comfortable atmosphere, unpretentious but artistic. All the food we ordered was great. Tasty traditional plates and then some house specialties with a twist of originality. I ordered beef which was very tender and flavorful and a soup with asparagus and shrimp , very yummy and comforting. Attentive friendly service, good local wine and fair prices. Overall excellent !!

There were only a few staff members who spoke English, but those who spoke English well were polite and kind, so we enjoyed a delicious dinner and local beer. Even though we made a reservation for 9:30 PM, most of the tables were full, so I realized that this was a local restaurant. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to try traditional Italian food. by I was so grateful and intrigued by the kind and handsome man who seemed to be the CEO serving us. There were only a few staff members who spoke English, but those who spoke English well were polite and kind, so we enjoyed a delicious dinner and local beer.
