The entrecôte was very fatty. Left quite a bit and was told that’s how the steak is! Nothing else offered. Portions were on the small side too compared to other places.

We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, as this is never what we aim to deliver at Paço D’Alma. Regarding the portion size, we would like to clarify that the dish ordered was from our Kids Menu, which naturally has a smaller serving. Even though it is not usually available for adults, we exceptionally agreed to prepare it upon your request, and this explains the smaller portion presented. As for the steak, the entrecôte is naturally more marbled and fatty. A leaner option would have been the “vazia”, and our team would have gladly assisted with this choice had we known your preference. The setting and the food. Menu was a little different in a good way.

All dishes were excellent. The octopus appetizer was beautifully served, and the risotto dishes were tasty and good size. Prices, including wine, were very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Good ambience. The staff was very polite and friendly. We tried the chefs recommendations. The salmon was very good. The risotto was also good but a bit strong for my taste. Only reason I don’t give a perfect score.

We had a wonderful dinner at Paço D’alma. Our server, Marco, recommended the perfect dish for my husband which was the ragout. I had the rice from the sea and it was perfect. The talented Chef came to our table and spoke with us for quite awhile. He was very sweet. You can’t go wrong here!

A quite lovely restaurant in beautiful Tomar. My companion and I very much enjoyed the comfortable ambience, the splendid menu, and the great service. Each dish was a thoughtful variation on a Portuguese standard--like the octopus salad lifted beyond the usual flavors with the addition of kimche. An imaginative menu prepared with great skill; each course served with friendly efficiency.

We sat in the open dining area at the back, because as we entered, the front dining area seemed very hot and lacking in air. However, the back dining area had one fan working and as the temperature outside was about 37 degs at 7.30pm, it was stiflingly hot. It was not an oscillating fan and only covered two tables. On leaving, we noticed the aircon was working in the front dining area, perhaps, this could have been switched on at 7pm making it a more pleasant and welcoming entry. The ambiance was missing. We had fish and steak, the fish could have come with some vegetables beside the mashed potato and the steak could have used a little more green leaf salad, overall a decent meal, but not exceptional. Waitress service was good and attentive.

We went to this restaurant 2 days ago and were so impressed we returned last night with friends. We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. Menus given and asked if we wanted to order drinks immediately, we said no and were left to peruse the menu. A few minutes later a waitress came with the cover and we refused, on our previous visit we'd accepted and although the pate and butter were extremely good they were filling! Our food orders were taken and the manager suggested a wine which was of medium price but was very good and suited our food. There was a short, acceptable wait before starters were served and all were superb. Main courses followed, again all very tasty, good quantity and well presented. Deserts again were good. We all had different choses and were all very pleased. Service was attentive throughout but not intrusive. Although the restaurant was busy there was no delay in service other than what was needed for the dishes to be prepared. Price very good.

This was an absolute treat. The staff is fantastic, the food is absolutely amazing, and the environment was fantastic too. The Tuna Tartare and the Ovos Rotos starters were extremely well done both taste and presentation wise. The mains, Arroz Marinho e Lingueirão was very well done, full of shellfish and rich flavours. The Açorda de Marisco was one of the best we’ve had with rich flavours and shellfish. Great restaurant to visit again

Very good in all aspects. Food v. good, service likewise. Over eaten! All food we saw served looked good. Prices ok, wine good range and price. Inside with air con, or outside, shaded but warmer than inside, that said it is 36°! I had the burger which was very tasty with crisp chips. My husband had the sea bass which looked good and he was happy with. The chocolate desert was gorgeous and the coconut pudding tasty with flavourful pina colarda ice cream.

The restaurant was a delightful setting. The wait staff were terrific. Spoke good English. The food concepts, while very appealing on the menu were never quite executed to perfection. Things were just a tad off. For example the sea bass was a “tad” overcooked. I think we got the chef in training! Would recommend it anyway.

We were met and shown to a very suitable outside table. The menu is very interesting with several intriguing mixes of flavours and good descriptions. Service was excellent. Our starters of Polvo and Tuna Tartare were generous, attractive and delicious. Equally the main courses, both served with unusual sauces which enhanced the dishes. We enjoyed talking with the Chef - he has excellent ideas and his staff carry them out well in a small, open very tidy kitchen. We have already re-booked.
