It was our first time visiting Amsterdam last week and we loved it! The restaurant is very atmospheric and the food is delicious!!! The prices are reasonable too and the carbonara was delicious! The waiter we had was also very lovely. I would definitely recommend coming here when your visiting Amsterdam

The service was great, and the staff did a great job helping my wife and I out with our 2 kids and our stroller. The food was great and the chef made a great cheese pizza for our kids. Our dinners were fantastic as well. We will be back!

The food quality was poor and way over priced. Having said that, it was in the central area. The pasta we ordered was bland. Service was good and pretty quick. Ambience was lovely. Chairs were stained and dirty and there was bits of food on the floor. Would not recommend eating there! Been to far better places.

We ate here on our last evening in Amsterdam and could not fault the food. The pizza, pasta and tiramisu were all excellent. The service was not quite up to the same standard though. We waited for almost an hour for our food which for pizza and pasta did seem a bit long. Also as our table was positioned near the open kitchen we heard one of the kitchen staff being loudly berated by, I presume, the owner or manager. It didn't excessively spoil our meal, but perhaps it might be a good idea to save staff discipline for a time when customers are not in earshot.

I expected that Italian restaurant's menu might has ravioli or rissoto. Menu was dissapointed for me. Waiters were kindly and polite. Dam square view was good.

ROYAL98 is located on a 8 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Tram lines 4, 9, 16 en 24 stop right in front of the restaurant and several other tram lines stop just around the corner.

ROYAL98 does not have a parking area, however guests can park in the paid Bijenkorf Parkeergarage opposite the restaurant. Furthermore the Oosterdok Parkeergarage is on a 10 minute walk.
