We booked Sarace Mare for the last night of our holidays as a special treat, having seen some good reviews. We weren't disappointed! It is in a beautiful situation right on the shore near Forio and you can see and hear the waves as you dine. We were made very welcome by the proprietor and his son and seated in a perfect position overlooking the bay. The food is mainly seafood based, as you would expect, and all cooked freshly to order. All the dishes we tried were very good and portion sizes were appropriate. There is a good wine list at sensible prices with plenty of local wines available. It is not cheap but sensibly priced for the quality of food and ambience. We would return if we ever go back to Ischia, so it is recommended if you enjoy seafood and a romantic atmosphere!

Our waiter’s recommendations made our dinner exceptional, the best meal we had in our 9 day vacation in Italy. Really amazing food, very nice staff and incredible sunset views. Couldn’t recommend it more!!
