The chef/owner was amazing, and any guest should try the specialties of the restaurant. Simply the best meal I've had in years. While the weather was stormy, with thundershowers...Strainer was the perfect respite. If it is not, it should be a local's favorite...not just for tourists!

The owner suggested we have the catch of the day, which was delicious. The restaurant is on the water but away from the busiest part of the harbor. This was one of the best meals we’ve had on our trip.

The sea bream was delicious. The pasta was ok. Be careful about what you order, 2 gin and tonics was €56. Many things without prices on the menu can run up the price. Overall I would look elsewhere.

Excellent fresh food. Both fish and meat of high quality and cooked perfectly. Prosecco could have been chilled better. Service was friendly, could improve though (they at first gave us a table facing a wall instead of the beautiful harbour of Portofino? We asked and they turned it around, but it shouldnt have been necessary).

We had an enjoyable meal here, greeted warmly by the owner, great table overlooking all of Portofino. We did capresse salad and oysters to start, pastas including there house specialty of pasta finished in the cheese when which was amazing, and finished with lamb chops (which were only okay). We did get their chocolate dessert which was great. Very nice experience.

What a nice place almost touching the water and its boats. Good food, friendly staff en not only fish :) we had a lovely vitello and pasta pesto, nice wine. Quiet and a bit further away from all tourists restaurants.

Staff was nice but not professional. The price are tourist traps. Food is not worth the price at all. They were serving old bread and not selfmade. I have been to way fancier places where spaghetti were not 54€ and were way better. I would never go there again.

The food is just so so if even and very over priced The only good things is the view - honestly -save your time and go elsewhere Strainer - you need to do a lot better
