We had dinner yesterday evening for the first time at Ulivo in Lausanne and loved it. Everything was perfect from the friendly greetings by the restaurant owner Nicola the moment you walk in to the service, excellent wine suggestion and delicious Italian food. Fully deserving of high rating - great food (olive oil and eggplant have family connections), and pasta is superb - with excellent service. Close (5 minutes) walk from metro (uphill!), so convenient.

Very nice ambience and the food presentation was beautiful . The scallops were cooked perfectly. Only criticism would be that the tiramisu lacked the usual flavor blend of coffee, chocolate and rum .

The atmosphere was quiet and very cool especially after my visit in this summer time. I really enjoyed the salad for my starter but the main dish (the octopus with bolognese sauce) was not my favorite. I could have chosen something else but maybe another time.

Dear Sir we are sorry for the atmosphere you feel is not welcome, I would like to inform you that we have never made octopus bolognese in the 7 years we have been open, I would appreciate it for the next time if there is one, before making a criticism especially in the eyes of customers you need to know what you are writing and criticising.
