We checked into our room at 7:00. I had previously made reservations for dinner for 7:30 knowing it would be a long day of travel from Tuscany. After checking in, I asked if we could bump up our reservations to 8:00 since we arrived a little later than expected. I was told no, which I understand. We hurried and unpacked and freshened up to make our 7:30 reservations. What I didn't understand is why we sat at our table and no one came over until.......8:00! People sat after us and were waited on before us. So what was the big deal about pushing our reservations up to 8:00? It really was only the woman taking the order. The food runner was very attentive. The atmosphere and scenery was absolutely beautiful. The food was excellent.

Wonderful location and quite beautiful building. Food however was lower standard than elsewhere. Particularly pasta dishes were not at all special. All this whilst management seems to think highly of themselves… we would only go for drinks next time.

We were welcomed warmly even though we had literally made the reservation 5 minutes before arrival. Our entire meal was wonderful, staff was amazing and location was stunning. Be ready for a leisurely meal and soak up every minute of it. Wish we had found this place sooner, we would have chosen to stay in one of their rooms too!!

Apparently we were told they should have never accepted our reservation and our going to stop reservations through the fork so don’t book here. The hotel guests were prioritised and were were waiting for our first course for 90 minutes when it arrived we had to send some of it back and weren’t offered a drink or anything as compensation. We were made to wait a further 20 minutes whilst they decided to come the steak that was sent back - the whole thing was very insulting and upsetting which is a shame as the property looks lovely. A disaster of an evening

Very nice hotel, nice view of San Grimignano. The food is very simple and basic: spaghetti with pomodoro, pizza Margherita & co. But the view is worth it :)
