Overpriced – cannot recommend We chose this restaurant on our first day in Venice and were pretty disappointed. We ordered sarde in saor for starters, a Venetian specialty of marinated sardines, which are typically served cold as the fish should marinate for a long time. Ours, however, were served warm and were pretty tasteless. Our main dish (grigliata mista – a selection of grilled fish) was not bad, but too small and overpriced. Although the dessert was really delicious and inventive (frozen fruit), it was definitely overpriced at EUR 18 per portion! Not to mention the service charge (servizio) of EUR 18 for two! We would definitely not come back!

We made a reservation for 6pm and according to the website, the restaurant should already open before that time. However, the restaurant did not open until 6:40 and no explanation made. We would not eat at the restaurant at all, if my husband did not have a conference call and we just sit in a cafe opposite the restaurant. When my husband finished the call, the owner just opened the restaurant, so we gave it a try. The food was very mediocre, I don’t understand how they got any good reviews.

Great service. We had a table outside which was quite pleasant. I had stuffed eggplant a bit similar to eggplant parmigiana, but not at all greasy. It was delicious, perhaps the best I have ever had.

Just steps from St. Mark’s Square, it’s a wonderful place for dinner! The staff were very friendly, and the pasta of the day was made in house and was spectacular. It’s a great place to share a meal with family and friends while in Venice!
