I've had some great meals, but this one was the best. We celebrated Andrea's birthday at Quadri and we were so glad we did. The staff was the best balance of professional, skilled, charming and fun that we've yet to experience. Every bite was creative and delicious. I think in total we each had 16 courses and somehow left feeling like we had precisely the right amount of food. Sometimes tasting menus can go a bit off the rails when in comes to volume, but Quadri nailed it. The restaurant has a unique and fun vibe, the decor is pretty wild (pun maybe intended) but totally grown up. If you're lucky enough to have the opportunity to dine here, don't miss it! We'll never forget it.

Lagoon cappuccino, winter garden salad, and the cattlefish paccheri are quite impressive! The sommelier is also nice in customizing our budget with the best that he can offer/recommend. That is definitely a plus.

Location is everything here and this is a destination restaurant in a fabulous spot. You certainly pay for the privilege. The decor is lovely (although the stuffed animals with jokey wings might not be to everyone's taste) and the arrangement of the tables well-spaced and discreet. The table dressing is quite beautiful although it is set up to up-sell you a glass of champagne before the menus are presented. There are four set menus but you can choose a la carte from any of the menus. This is the wise choice. We both started with the marinated scallops which my partner liked less than I did (“flabby”). The main courses were disappointing. The fish and the fillet of beef were both rather lost in their fixings and seasonings – and the beef a little tough. Service good but not outstanding. Overall this is a pretty amazing experience with a price to match: it could up its game particularly on the main courses.

The Quadri experience was memorable, unforgettable and breathtaking. The location so unique and historical, the service so cordial and polite and professional, the menu so complex and tasteful lead to an incredible experience. Experience that you pay really a lot, but considering everything is worth it.

We had an exceptional dinner at Ristorante Quadri. The entire experience was memorable — from the impeccable service to the elegant setting overlooking Piazza San Marco. We chose the white truffle tasting menu, which was beautifully crafted and perfectly balanced, showcasing incredible flavors and creativity in every dish. The staff were professional and attentive, making the evening feel truly special. A remarkable culinary experience and one of the highlights of our stay in Venice.

I mentioned it was my 60th birthday and at the end of the tasting menu the server brought me a mille-feuille with a candle and Buon Compleanno piped onto the plate. Food is excellent, definitely Michelin level, inspired. Did not leave hungry. Wine pairings excellent as well. Service exceptional. Great experience.

Quadri felt like a quintessential Venetian restaurant. The ambiance and the service were excellent. However, the selections of the three acts menu we chose were slightly short of excellent. The variety is commendable, yet there were some timing and temperature issues with some of them. Each “act” subdivision into 4 parts is abundant, and in my opinion, not always well coordinated. The menu emphasizes variety, yet some selections fell short of exquisite. I will give at another try the next time I am in Venice, but overall, 4 stars is my rating for this nice place in Venice.

This was lunchtime and after all the May Day celebrations. It was pleasantly quiet and we felt pampered! The history of where you are sitting, the beautiful ambiance, service top notch, and the unbelievable food, just can’t get any better! You have many choices, not just the tasting menus. But we came hungry and had the Venetian menu, just superb, paired with nice wine. Every one there made our experience wonderful! Hope to return.

Gran Caffè Quadri is a historic landmark in Venice, carefully restored in 2018 by the Alajmo Group in collaboration with renowned designer Philippe Starck and some of the finest Venetian artisans. Our aim was to preserve its rich heritage while bringing new life and character to the space. We do hope you might consider visiting us again in the future for a different perspective.

We have celebrated a birthday at Quadri and came with four kids. Fantastic service, carefully prepared dishes, great flexibility and a setting like no other in Venice. It was a blast and we will surely come back.

Dining at Ristorante Quadri was nothing short of spectacular! The restaurant is beyond charming and has incredible attention to detail. One of my favorite features is the flying lion, a perfect nod to Venice’s iconic symbol, and other tasteful taxidermy animals throughout the space. The wallpaper subtly incorporates the faces of the owners and is surprisingly tasteful and elegant, adding a unique personal touch. Even the water glasses are custom-designed to fit perfectly in your hand. The food was phenomenal, the service was exceptional, and we absolutely loved the staff — they went above and beyond to make our experience special. The only thing to note is that if you order à la carte, the portions are pretty generous, so keep that in mind when planning your meal.

The work was carried out by skilled Venetian artisans, dedicated to revealing the original beauty and magic of the place. All the glassware was designed by Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo and crafted by top artisans—each piece is unique, with deliberate imperfections. In just five years, in 2030, the restaurant will celebrate its 200th anniversary, having first opened in 1830 by the Vaerini brothers.
