We placed you in our lounge located on the first floor because our main dining room was fully booked, and you were the first to occupy that space; however, during the meal, other customers were seated at tables neighboring yours. We understand your disappointment and invite you to specify during your next visit that you wish to be placed in the main dining room. 10/10The food was spectacular. The service was fantastic. A wonderful multi hour dinner with my family. Not an inexpensive night, but an incredible, wonderful and unforgettable evening.

9.5/10Beautiful ambiance especially with Christmas. The Discovery menu by the Chef was delightful. The cheese course outstanding. Loved the dessert course glasses. A charming night. Servers seemed a bit stretched at times to pay attention to wine glasses and status of refilling.

5/10The portions were very petit. The duck was minimal 3 bites. The lamb was undercooked and very tough. Having the chef surprise us was not welcome. The price was very high. In fairness the restaurant rebated 1/2 of one meal price. I would not return nor recommend.

10/10Excellent restaurant in the centre of Strasbourg. Very well prepared and beautifully presented food made from high quality ingredients. The a la carte-tasting menu offers a unique opportunity to sample, in smaller portions, of course, all items from the a la carte menu. Two starters, two fish courses, two meat courses and two desserts. It’s a very good way to experience the skills of the chef and his team, and I highly recommend it. The service is friendly and very professional. Staff have an eye on everything and are always ready to assist guests. The dining room is elegant, comfortable and very pleasant. I have been dining at Au Crocodile for many years now, and I continue to give it my best recommendation.

7/10I should have read the reviews before booking: it is all true, the staff is excellent, the food is overthought and overpriced. Too bad for the staff, they should find an employment elsewhere.

10/10We had a most memorable lunch at Au Crocodile. The food, service and ambience were all top level. Friendly staff were able to easily accommodate our limited French. Would highly recommend.

Our waitress was outstanding in every way, taking great care to explain in detail the preparation of each item. She exhibited a genuine love of the culinary arts, and the food at crocodile is visually artistic. We are a family of four (including 16 year old twins who are both foodies), and had the Lobster, Sturgeon, Wild Boar, and Pheasant. All were excellent, but the boar was the best! We had the cheeses (you get to pick from an amazing selection) as well as the vanilla balls for dessert (unique and amazing). Our only complaint was that we were seated upstairs rather than in the main dining area downstairs by the crocodile. We were by ourselves for about 30 minutes which was ok but strange, but then a couple with their infant child joined the party and the screaming baby ruined the ambience. With 16-year-olds we should have been seated with the adults below, as there was room, especially when you are paying $560 for lunch.

We were at this restaurant for our 7th wedding anniversary and wanted it to be special. The ambiance was romantic and the waiters were very attentive. The food was excellent and we highly recommend!
