Our meals were actually really good. Our waitress was quietly courteous and lovely. But we sat on the Terrasse and the waiter at the door was loudly touting for customers the entire time. We felt as if at a fair ground. The vibe was not at all conducive to a nice relaxed dinner. We ordered only the minimum and left as soon as possible. We had visited this restaurant several years ago and made a point to return but never again.

Mais que l ambiance en terrasse avec un serveur qui parlait aux clients …. Trop fort vous a gêner ce que je peux comprendre . J en suis désolée . Le restaurant est tenu par la même famille depuis plus de 30 ans et des employés de longue date qui connaissent leur clientèle et prennent le temps de leur parler . Je suis vraiment désolée que vous n ayez pas passé une bonne soirée et j espère que nous aurons quand mm le plaisir de vous revoir chez da bouttau cannes .

Loved the location in Cannes, service was prompt. Entres were very big and we could have shared but were very good. Fois gras and Burrata. We both had filet steaks, mixed vegetables roasted new potatoes and sauces. Very good but steak knives could have been sharper. Quite expensive but it is Cannes and location and food were good.

We decided to go here for our 35th anniversary. We had a lovely meal. The waiter was attentive and the ambiance was wonderful. Being the oldest restaurant in Cannes made it feel special.

We all had beef fillet and askd for medium-rare. It came out blue. It was fillet so we just ate it. It was ok. The service could be better. Not attentive. And i was handed a dirty plate at the start. I informed the waiter that the plate was dirty and could i get it replaced, and he took the plate and disappeared.. never got a small plate. Good buzz where we sat as was outside and a busy area. The waiter aksed for a tip also. Bad form.

Merci pour votre retour sur votre dîner chez da bouttau cannes . Nous sommes désolés que vous ayez eu un problème avec votre cuisson de viande cela peut arrivé et heureusement rapidement rectifier . En étant à l extérieur en effet les tables sont petites et la terrasse aussi ce qui fait que nous évitons les assiettes en plus . En ce qui concerne la demande de tips sur les cartes en effet c est ce qui se fait le plus souvent maintenant mais biensur il n y a aucune obligation nous sommes en france et le service est compris . Au plaisir de vous revoir .

On Wednesday i stopped by and requested o e specific table for Friday, they told me to come before our reservation (14:00) about one half hour before, to which I agreed. We arrived and they denied having agreed to the table I had requested. We did stay, but the food was nothing to write about. Good but by no means as we had expected.

Si c était en terrasse nous ne pouvons pas bloquer des tables vue la grandeur de notre terrasse . En ce qui concerne la nourriture cela aurait enrichissant pour nous que vous nous dites ce que vous n avez pas aime . En esperant vous revoir . Bel été a vous .

The preset menu was not available even though on TheFork we had a confirmation that we pre-booked a pre-set menu. The waiter started claiming that it wasn’t on offer, even though I showed the confirmation from TheFork

Bonjour en effet durant les grandes conventions cannoise le menu n est pas servi . Pour une raison d organisation dans notre travail je suis désolée que cela n est pas été indiquée sur the fork . Néanmoins je suis sûre que la nourriture le service et l ambiance étaient au rdv sauf le prix . C est pour cela que les réservations par téléphone sont toujours plus précises . Bien à vous .

Food is good..but one of the regular waiters has no charm at all and both waiters rushed us ...we have been here several times over the years...for the price you need both good food AND good service...and not to feel rushed but provide friendly attentive service

Came for my husband’s birthday. The staff were lovely and friendly. We had the set menu which we really enjoyed. The wine was perfect. The ambiance is great you can people watch and take in this special part of Cannes. My husband said it was his favourite meal and experience whilst in Cannes. Looking forward to coming back.
