The food was delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. The decor is beautiful. My only complaint was the service. I was expecting a much better service from a restaurant of this caliber. They weren’t attentive if we needed more wine or if we had finished our food and the empty plates stayed on the table longer than necessary. They also took very long to serve the main dish.

Phenomenal. It’s clear why Benares received a Michelin star. Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional service, superb ambience, and excellent food. The cocktails, appetizers and Rogan Josh/Butter Chicken were out of this world.

Let’s start with the good: the food is ok (quite average compared to the London namesake) and the space is very nice (including an outdoor terrace and swimming pool). However, the rest of the experience was less impressive. When trying to order wine, the maitre (I guess?) was unable to explain any of the wines on the menu. He also told us he couldn’t recommend any, as we were having fish and vegetables. The only solution was to bring us some bottles and we could read the label (!!!!) Also, the male toilets were blocked … although this was remedied after telling the staff. Overall, a very disappointing visit (especially in comparison to Benares London) in terms of food - and plainly unbelievable in terms of wine knowledge and service.

Service was efficient, professional, and clear. The food was excellent, both in value and taste. The chutneys were innovative, though a little too sweet for me. The pappadams were nice. I got the menu ejecutivo, which was astounding value. Having 3 small side dishes (naan, brussels sprouts, vegetables) + 2 carbs (naan, rice) + a curry and a yogurt for 24 euros is exceptional. The curry was incredibly tender and the perfect amount of spice, and the daal was delicious. The rice could have been softer, but I am being nitpicky. I was slightly confused that the dessert was served with the other dishes, but it may have been for the presentation. I wish that a beverage was included with the menu, so in the end, it will be closer to 28€ rather than 24€.

The food was great, and it had all the right flavours; however, the place lacked soul and servers were a bit rushed and not really very welcoming. The servers should pay more attention to the table and stop rushing to clean out the table. Just felt a bit cold to say the least.

Unique gastronomic experience with twist of traditional and interesting flavors . Marcos was extremely attentive and well informed about each dish. When he heard we were celebrating a birthday , he went above and beyond to make it a memorable occasion. We highly recommend this place and give it a 5 star rating in all aspects of food, service and ambience !
