10/10The mussels dinner was amazing - fresh, tasty, plentiful! Staff friendly, helpful, cheerful and the restaurant ambience was so welcoming! Would definitely recommend going to Breydel for a memorable dining experience. Other diners near us had lobster, salmon, steaks - all looked so great!

9.5/10The food was outstanding, serving several flavors of Mussels with frites, what’s not to like. Also several other local menu items were available. Service was prompt and professional and lots of local were eating there so we knew we were in the right place.

9.5/10The setting is lovely and the food is phenomenal. We had just come up from Paris where we had dined at three Michelin starred restaurants and the food at Breydel held up just fine against those.

9.5/10I was really looking forward to our meal here and was not disappointed. We shared starters of tempura prawns and mini shrimp croquettes - both delicious. I then ordered the turbot & my sister the starter lobster. My turbot was enormous and cooked to perfection & my sister thoroughly enjoyed her lobster, The mash potato is also to die for. Really top quality food and a lovely place. The staff were friendly and attentive too.

9/10On one of the busiest days for tourism in Bruges, Ascension Day, I was delighted to find the fish restaurant, though full, an oasis of rest 100 metres from the market. The friendly and correct welcome was promising. At this time of the year the menu is mainly based on shell fish, mussels, lobster and coquille. Any one expecting a range of North Sea white fish will be disappointed, only one or two plates on the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the shell fish over three nights, if I find a good restaurant I always return. Service was very good and I could enjoy my dinner at my pace. If one of your guests wishes a meat dinner, I observed a steak being delivered to a nearby table-it looked very tasty.

5.5/10Had dinner this evening, met by unhappy manager, needs to welcome customers. Next order taken without writing down (2 courses plus drinks for 4) and then both courses for 1 person were wrong/ late with wrong sauce for steak. Drinks taken away before coffee, they weren’t finished. Food was good but attention to detail, given expensive, was not good. Need to write down orders and be more attentive.

2/10I had read such fantastic things about this restaurant that I ensured I had booked a table before our trip. I also booked for 7.30pm.. not a late time in my opinion. When we arrived there was one free table in the window which I presumed was our booking. We were lold no and led upstairs to a stark white room with no atmosphere. We were shown to a tiny table in the corner even though the room was not full. Stark lighting and no waiters. After 20 minutes we managed to get the attention of a passing waiter and were told that there was no possibility of a table downstairs and he was sorry. The menu /food is not cheap and to have no atmosphere is more than disappointing so we left. I feel completely disappointed
