5/10Calamari wasn’t very good the flavour was weak and me the portion was small. Fish was horrible and slimy. Vegetables, Pulpo, and bread were excellent. Service was also not very good. I have been to El barril in Goya and it is much better. I don’t recommend this El barril.

9.5/10Bit pricey but generous portion sizes and great wine selection. We got the buñuelos de bacalao to start then baked monkfish for 2 - absolutely delicious and we were stuffed

About the restaurant
Este restaurante del grupo Oter es un valor seguro a la hora de comer pescado y productos del mar con auténtica calidad. Antes de repasar su cocina (mariscos frescos del día, arroces en diferentes elaboraciones, pescados de anzuelo, carnes a la parrilla…), hablemos del pan que acompaña a los platos: se presenta aliñado con tomate y aceite de oliva virgen (un vicio y un detalle de los que marca la diferencia). Para probar un poco de todo, se puede empezar con unas navajas, unas gambas de Huelva (bien frescas), un tartar de atún rojo de Barbate o unas verduras de temporada con gambas para el centro. Y como plato principal, un rodaballo salvaje a la parrilla, seguido de un soufflé de queso para endulzar. Chapeau!
Si hace bueno, lo mejor es pedir que te pongan una mesa en su terraza ajardinada. Es bonita y perfecta para comidas relajadas.
