8.5/10The atmosphere and the food at the restaurant are good. The ambiance is modern, cool. Food was tasty, well presented. I give less for the service - while the service was friendly, the whole experience took too long. We spent almost 6 hrs in the restaurant. We came at 19 and let 00.45. The time between the food courses was simply too long. We also thought that the communication was not the best. We lacked explanation of the formulas (differences in 5,6,7 courses, options for wine pairing etc). In principle we were not even asked if what formula we would like to choose, if we want a wine pairing. We were simply poured wine. Only after we requested explanation , then the waiter explained to us options etc. overall, a mixed experience.

3/10+4We showed up at FG François Geurds right on time for our 7pm reservation and found ourselves standing outside in the cold—they kept the doors locked until exactly 19:00. Not a great start. The person opening the door gave a long speech in Dutch, which we unfortunately didn't understand. Inside, the restaurant was understaffed with only four servers for a full room, causing excessive 30-minute intervals between courses and a departure time of 23:30, which precluded final service offerings. Aperitif options were limited, and standard post-meal amenities were not provided. The atmosphere was uncomfortably noisy due to tables being positioned too close together, which also obstructed service flow. Culinary execution failed to meet two-star standards. Dishes lacked balance, marked by cloying sweetness in the lobster meringue and excessive acidity elsewhere. Technical errors included unseasoned venison and a poorly conceived red cabbage waffle.

5/10The restaurant was understaffed. We had to ask to finally receive Some Bread; the plates were left empty at the table for more then half an hour.

10/10First time in Rotterdam and let me tell you, I had the pleasure of dining at François Geurds, a Michelin star restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. As a foreigner, I felt warmly welcomed from the moment I arrived Chef François himself took the time to greet me, which truly made me feel at home. The staff were outstanding, providing attentive and friendly service that enhanced the overall atmosphere. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. I’ll comeback with my team to this establishment.

10/10We didn't know what to expect at first... but let me tell you, my wife and I had one of the most exquisite culinary experience ever, combined with an outstanding service. If ever you visit Rotterdam , this is a must

5/10Exceptionally bad experience. We have extensive experience with Michelin star restaurants. This one was uncomparable to any other star restaurant. Exceptionally bad. The food was good but the timings were very off. Extremely long duration and it seemed like we were part of a conveyer belt. All customers were waiting without food, drinks or service. We had to wait 3.5 hours for our main course and sat without food or drinks for over 1 hour at a time. Comments and questions were aggressively responded to by the chef and his personnel seemed intimidated as was I. He openly stated we were bistro material and unworthy of his restaurant. This was unjust and very degrading. I feel sorry for other customers and his personnel.

8.8/10I really enjoyed my meal here (which is already some time ago now), the food and wine was paired beautifully although one of the dishes wasn't thought through enough and did not reach the two-michelin star standard.It was the scallop with bacon and chicory, and as a result of this combination you couldn't really taste the delicate flavour of the scallop, nonetheless it was all perfectly cooked, one of my personal favourites was one of the appetizers, a small ice cone made from pickles with a tomato filling, I had never seen something like that before but because it was delicious I hope I will. The service really gave me a welcome feeling while still maintaining a feeling of sophistication and excellency. The setting is very beautiful with a lovely view of the Maas, however I have one comment about the choice of art. As most men I enjoy looking at skimpily woman, but when I'm having a meal I am not so keen on that. But having this as my only comment on the scenery, I still enjoyed my meal from the first to the last bite.
