I tried several dishes and desserts. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t very tasty and was quite bland. I had read many glowing reviews beforehand, but the experience fell below my expectations. I’ve had much better culinary experiences at other Thai restaurants in the Netherlands. I took several photos of the dishes. While the presentation was good, it doesn’t make up for the lack of bold flavour. The staff were friendly, but they seemed disappointed when I didn’t leave a tip. There should be no social obligation to tip. On the restaurant’s website, I read: “Leave us a 5-star Google review and receive 10% off your final bill.” This made me question the authenticity of the reviews. Is it even permitted on review platforms to ask for a 5-star review in exchange for a discount? I asked the staff about this offer to confirm whether it was genuine. They asked which platform I used to book, and when I said TheFork, they told me I wasn’t eligible because TheFork already requests a review.
