7.5/10Food was great, especially the flat iron steak, absolutely fantastic. The hosts and hostesses were all very friendly and helpful. However, the whole dining experience was rather ruined by the atmosphere. No serene music was present and instead our fine dining experience was accompanied by extremely loud noises. We weren’t able to truly enjoy our meal, the noises gave us a headache, and even struggled to have conversations as we couldn’t hear each other properly (yes it was very loud).

9.5/10A very top quality restaurant tucked away in a side street in the centre of Utrecht. The serving staff were extremely attentive and also knowledgeable about the food and wine that they served. Altogether a lovely experience!

10/10Incredibly good restaurant which we regret not having found before, we ran into it almost by accident while cycling, and decided to try it out. The flavors of each dish were exquisitely put together, and unlike anything we had had before. They also have some very good wine options for pairing, all in all quite a complete culinary experience. We expect to return regularly in the future.

10/10The service by Guiseppi was amazing. He explained every course in detail (and in English). He was very accommodating and made us feel really special. The food was also really good. We had the vegetarian 5 course meal and we were surprised as to how full we were afterwards. The pacing of the courses is also really good, giving us time to enjoy the relaxed ambience, the wine and the food.

About this restaurant
It's quite simple: we love it when good food brings people together! That is why we have made Florent a relaxed and welcoming place. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy good food and delicious wines in copious quantities, for normal prices. We stimulate the senses and initiate conversations about the French cuisine in all its diversity. Our basis is French classics such as a steak tartare or a tender côte de boeuf, but we excel when we think out of the box. We get our inspiration from all over the world. That's why our menu always has dishes alternating between classics with unusual ingredients and adventurous variations. And we call that bistronomy with bravado!
