8.5/10We adored the curries, probably the best I’ve had. However the poppadoms were horrid, those cheap hard things. This spoiled the meal for me as I really look forward to a proper, light poppadom. No idea why a good restaurant would serve those “ microwave “ things passed off as baked.

10/10We had a delicious meal at Indian Gate. The food is amazing, the staff and owners are wonderful. Friendly and helpful. If the food didn’t bring you back, the owner's loveliness would. They brought over us some homemade hot sauce for us to try, it certainly needs a warning label on, it was hotter than hot. ???? They very kindly package it up for to take home. We look forward to sharing it with the people who say they can eat any level of spice ????

9.5/10Food is delicious. But expect many noisy neighbors. People were talking so loud we couldn’t hear each other. And we were seated near to the exit, so it wasn’t so pleasant. But it’s just a small thing

10/10We stumbled across India Gate during our walk through town and returned for dinner. The food was delicious and there were plenty of vegetarian options. Service was great and the place is cozy and inviting. We would definitely recommend India Gate.

8/10Nice restaurant. Not busy but we did have a reservation. Attentive service. They did insist that Vinho is a sparkling wine, it’s not. The pakoras were tasty, as was the Tarka dhal and jeera rice and raita. Good solid food. Much needed after a long cold rainy day of playing tourist with jet lag.

9.5/10We absolutely recommend dining at India Gate! The food was truly amazing, a really good choice for those who are looking for something else other than the traditional Portuguese cuisine. If we stayed longer, we would definitely go back!
