7.5/10Third time visiting the place and very happy with the food! However part of the restaurant is renovating and the heating wasn’t working at the beginning and it was very cold, so the atmosphere wasn’t the best this time.

9/10Delicious indian cuisine! Kitchen is able to meet my needss for spicy curry and with additional green chilies I can make it even hotter. Service is very friendly and already after few visits staff welcomes you as a frequent customer. The only downside is the accoustics of the dining room. It is very noisy and people are talking laudly to get heard by others at their tables. It's very difficult to conversate with your friends. But again, the food is just super!

6/10We waited 40 min to be seated even when we had a reservation. There was a huge line of people waiting to be seated, all of them with reservations as well. I heard there was a concert in the area that night but they can just accept anyone coming in if they have reservations to fulfill.

7/10Overall nice place, but took about 10 minutes to get a menu at the start and we were really hungry :( After that was resolved it was all fine - food was very tasty and we got a big glass of wine. We'll go again.

9/10The food was incredibly good. Best Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. Loved the service, people where polite and willing to help. Because it's so big the atmosphere was pretty cold. Interior was beautiful but not much life. But besides all of this. The most important thing is that the food was excellent!

Let me introduce myself; My name is Surinder Kumar, owner & Chef. I have around 7 years experience in Indian cooking in India & 25 years experience in the Netherlands. I had several Indian restaurants in Amsterdam called Indian Restaurant GANDHI at Damrak & Indian Restaurant MAHARAJA OF INDIA in Jordaan. I am specialized in making Mughlai Indian food. This style of food was prepared by cooks only for King's (Maharajas) in India in their kitchen. After independence in the year 1947 all the kingdoms were merged & their cooks came out from King's kitchen to public places. I learned this skill from a very famous cook in India. Very healthy Indian ingredients are used in the food which are good for health, boost immune system & good for body organs. To name the few dishes: Tandoori chicken, Butter chicken, Chicken Tikka masalla, Chicken Rogan Josh same in Lamb & special Vegetarian Thali.
