Nice restaurant, with superb food, although not the most innovative, we tried similar dishes in other restaurants, but they were exceptionally executed. Service was a bit too slow, it took us 2 hours to have lunch, which is too slow for a business lunch. We were also surprised that the server did not speak English, which is ok in France, but not in Geneva. Last comment about service: we booked for the weekly menu, but that was not offered to use, we had to ask. Suggested for a relaxed lunch

We had a wonderful experience at La Chaumière. I have to admit when we pulled up to the venue in the Uber, I was not sure we were at the right place as the outside of the venue is less than impressive. However turning the corner and going into the garden we were greeted by some wonderful staff. This immediately alleviated any concerns and and set the scene for a wonderful evening of food and wine. We decided on the set menu, excluding the cheese and were treated to some wonderfully delicate dishes that were not only incredibly tasty but really well balanced in terms of flavours and textures. Each mouthful was an experience. What lifted the experience even further were the wine pairings which I have to say were some of the best matches I have ever encountered. Even more impressive was that my partner asked for only reds and the sommelier was able to find some beautifully light reds to compliment some of the earlier dishes. Overall, a wonderful evening.

Exceptional dining experience in this quaint cottage. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t get to eat in the beautiful outdoor patio area. The dishes were creative, well executed and delivered with fantastic service. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations for a glass of wine to complement each dish. The decor and music helped to set the cool vibe. Highly recommend this gem!

Fantastic food! The beef was probably on of the best meat dishes we ever had. Service ok but a bit clunky for a 1 michelin star. Highly recommended and we would visit again!

If you are looking for a nice one-star stereotypical restaurant you will not find it here. We had a Michelin menu - some courses were great others plain. There is a lack of English - speaking stuff which is annoying when you would like to know what you eat - because there is no written menu. When we have asked for the bill then the waitress for an unknown reason read allowed herself to read it aloud in detail for all the other guests of the restaurant to hear. We had a table with a speaker in our ear even if I have asked for a nice quote table - restaurant was empty when we arrived. We have asked for a wine that fits dishes (since there was no written menu ordering a wine was difficult) but there seem to have been no proper selection and we just got „something“…was not the best wine neither a best fit. Overall disappointment and not going back. Pity, really, place is beautiful, must be lovely in summer with the garden.

The service was a disaster for a one star restaurant like La chaumière is. The room was almost empty, and we had to wait between each plate around 20min. They literally ignored us sometime. We were served by an intern (which is of course not a problem), however, we were very surprised to see that she was left alone on the room and was not able to answer the basic questions of the dishes. Even a simple question about a cheese type, she was not able to answer. It is not her fault, she was trying her best, but no one was in the room to watch her, and our service suffered from it. Again, for a one star restaurant, this kind of service is simply not acceptable.

I have heard a lot of good recommendations for this restaurant, so we decided to try it for our year-end dinner at work. The service was very good and we enjoyed ourselves otherwise, but gastronomically I do mot see a Michelin star level. Every time I go to a Michelin star restaurant, the food may or may not be to my tasting, but it never has obvious flaws. This time, absolutely all my side dishes were over-salted to a degree that I had to leave them all on the plate after trying. I didn’t want to cause a scene, so we didn’t say anything, but luckily I wasn’t very hungry.

Excellent dishes all the way, we had their 6 courses dégustation menu,very refreshing dishes, feature lots od seafood for mid-Sept dining,Iike every dish, especially the Fera and the mussel/zucchini cannolini dish. Their service can be a bit quicker, even for a Saturday evening : )
