We booked this for our first night in Paris . The food was nice enough but a bit overpriced I thought . It was a nice clean restaurant, I think it lacked atmosphere . It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing either .

Deux Magots is an iconic brasserie that I always make sure I visit whenever I’m in Paris. Whether it’s a glass of champagne a beer, or a meal it’s worth the higher prices . You can watch the world go by in the popular St Germain area, savour the sites and admire the beautiful church opposite. In my opinion, it’s unmatched in its historic charm, style and location. The menu has a huge selection to choose from to suit all tastes. It makes one of the best Croque Madame sandwich in Paris (toasted cheese with béchamel sauce with an egg on top. A big plus for me is that you can be sure you’re getting authentic meals . So if you want to avoid too touristy, overpriced food, this is your place! Highly recommended!

Evening menue doesnt have chevre chaud salad, only before 17h, too bad I really wanted it. My guess is that the restaurant is trying to become less tourist and cater more to a local crowd with set habits, fair enough. Still a charming place

I frequented this restaurant in the 70s when I spent some time living here in Paris. The place remains incredible, with a nostalgic and very pleasant atmosphere. The food has always been and continues to be very good, with honest prices, nothing exaggerated. I recommend going outside of peak hours or, even better, making a reservation, which can be done through The Fork website. 26/02/2026

The food taste delicious, Service was very good , friendly enough staff and not too long to wait although it was very full as usual . Would have preferred not to go downstairs with my bad back for the bathroom though .

The parm and truffle sauce was excellent—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The truffle flavor was aromatic without being overpowering, and the parmesan added a deep, savory finish. Easily the highlight of the dish and something I’d happily order again. The duck was also exceptionally. Perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Every element worked beautifully together, making it an unforgettable dish. Staff was great very attentive and friendly.
