8/10The meal started off very strong — the first three courses were excellent — but after that the food seemed to lose its sparkle and became a little mundane. The crab was soggy (soft-shell and fried really needs proper drying before battering). The beef dish felt lazy; the brioche bun was on par with a hotdog roll simply sliced open and served, and could really have benefitted from toasting. The dessert leaned too sour and savoury. For a £150 set menu, we expected much better. That said, the service was excellent, and both the wine and cocktails were lovely.
