A long leisurely lunch at Sicilian-African restaurant, Moltivolti. We both tried the Senegalese mafé (veal & lamb stewed in peanut butter with garlic, onions, carrots, potatoes and tomato). It was delicious (as were the Negronis). Service was great too. I’d love to come back and try some of the other North African dishes.
MoltivoltiThank you Francine ❤️

Staff was lovely and helpful. They picked out a great bottle of wine for us based on our preferences and lack of familiarity with local varieties. We had the bread meatballs, which were soft and flavorful. We tried a local specialty-pasta ala Norma, which was super fresh, tasty, and satisfying with eggplant that melts in your mouth and a bouncy, delightful fresh twirly pasta. The Senegalese mafe (meat option) was most excellent and a totally different flavor experience than expected in Italy. So good. The food came out fast and everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves. Didnt order a salad but they looked great going by. Definitely worth a visit!

The neighborhood seemed a little dodgy; poorly lit, narrow alleys with few pedestrians. However, the restaurant itself is open, bright, clean and cheery. We arrived at 8 PM when they opened, but the place was packed by 8:30. The menu is diverse as is the staff. Offerings represented Sicilian, Greek, Arabic and African cuisines. The food was uniformly excellent, and nicely presented, and arrived without an undue wait. The waitress was cheerful, but mixed up our drink order completely (and it wasn’t complicated). The menu is accessed via QR code but is very clunky; some of the buttons don’t work reliably, and despite selecting English as the default language it repeatedly kicked back into Italian. Nevertheless, the vibe of the place is so positive that we couldn’t find it in ourselves to complain. We had been eating traditional Sicilian cuisine all week, and this was a nice break. We would definitely return.

Charming place not far from the cathedral. indoor or outdoor seating options, but our midday meal was better served indoors after a long march around the town. Menus are digital only with pictures and clear labels for allergies. Salads came super fresh with large pieces of veggies. Oil and vinegar were in packets. Mafe curry from Africa was one choice for our table, super mild and peanut taste without being sweet. Vegan or meat lovers option for the curry. The bacalo was very tasty and looked like a lasagna but with a very different taste.
MoltivoltiThank you so much!

The food was a welcome change from all the pasta we’ve been eating. We enjoyed an assortment of unique appetizers a great melon and cucumber salad with feta and mint and delicious rice with lamb and kebab main course selections. Dessert was not overlooked - we split some delicious gelato and cheesecake parfaits. Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere - stop in!
MoltivoltiThank you 💜

Excellent spot for anyone looking for something different than pasta and pizza and especially good for gluten free eaters. Quieter part of town and totally agree with what they stand for re:empowering community.
MoltivoltiThank you very much 😉

As Italy - and Sicily as part of it - is growing multicultural, it's beautiful to have such restaurants representing the moltitude of food cultures in our country. A splendid mix between typical Sicilian recipes and dishes from around the world.

The food was unique and different, but very delicious. I would recommend to anyone wanting to try food heavily influenced by the various cultures comprising Palermo's history.
