10/10We were recommended by the owner of our apartment. They did not disappoint. The food was delicious especially the ravioli with cheese and spinach. It was so creamy and satisfying. We also had the pork roast and a side of potatoes. Both were outstanding. Even the mista salad was delicious.

9.5/10Honest fresh food with as specialty horse meat, but many other options too. Nice location if you sit outside with views on the bell tower. I had the three different styles of horse meat and I was positively surprised!

9.5/10We had booked at this restaurant for a Saturday lunch. Among the primi we went for the risotto with asparagus and from the secondi we tried a variety of the meat dishes. Everything that we tried was, simply put, excellent!

10/10If you have the opportunity to have a meal here it's one you don't want to miss. Really. I've enjoyed the experience three times in the past twelve years with the most recent involving a significant detour to Parma JUST to do so again (there are many wonderful reasons to spend a lot more time in Parma but we didn't unfortunately have that option this last time around). The menu is not particularly large but what they do there they do beautifully. Dishes we've enjoyed have been simply and authentically prepared with meals consistently remembered as "best of the trip". Try try try to overcome any misgivings you may have and to sample the specialty of the house which is the tartara dello Zingaro. It is not unlike a (beef) steak tartare but there is a subtle delicate sweetness to the meat that's like nothing else I've ever had. This is a dish you're not likely to find anywhere else you travel and one I think you'll recall as being very special. Pasta dishes are also consistently excellent. The restaurant itself is comfortable and not the least bit pretentious. Patrons in my experience appear to be almost entirely local. There are I'm guessing no more than 10 to 12 tables and making an advance reservation, especially for dinner, would be a very very good idea. The staff is multigenerational and the owner and waiters alike have always been warmly helpful (and patient) with me in providing menu explanations and suggestions.

8/10Felt very local and simple, but good quality. Our waiter was efficient and capable, but not very friendly. We didn't realise that the menu would be dominated by horse meat offerings - maybe we didn't do the right research, but something for others to note. We ate and drank well for a good price, didn't feel a need to linger at the table.
