8/10Thai food always excites me because it brings back memories of Thailand. I visited Pbaya Thai because of the high ratings, and the restaurant does feel Thai with a rustic touch and a promising menu. We ordered Som Tam salade, Paneng Ped, and Phad Kraprauw. The Som Tam salade was fresh and nicely structured. The spice level was quite high for us, but I still enjoyed it and would order it again, ideally with slightly less heat so the flavors can shine even more. Paneng Ped had a great curry base and was cooked well, though the duck didn’t stand out as much as I expected. Phad Kraprauw was the highlight: tender beef, great flavor, slightly watery but still very enjoyable. The team was genuinely warm and friendly. From a customer standpoint, a mid-meal check-in and offering drinks during the meal would take the experience up another level. Overall, a good visit and I’ll be back, just ordering differently next time.
