We went to Pand 13 because it was one of the few places open at the time in Haarlem. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t start on a strong note. The person managing the floor and bar seemed quite busy, which is understandable, but the interaction came across as rushed and not very welcoming. The number of guests felt manageable, so a slightly more engaging approach would have made a difference. We ordered the karaage, sizzling steak, and nachos. The karaage was the weakest dish. It tasted like it wasn’t fresh and leaned a bit too salty, so we didn’t finish it. The sizzling steak looked great visually, with a nice pink center, but it arrived cold and didn’t deliver in terms of flavor or execution. The nachos were the highlight. Well-prepared, flavorful, and the one dish I would recommend. Overall, there’s potential here, but the combination of service and food consistency made this visit underwhelming.
