What a wonderful surprise.. tucked away in a little corner off a small alley you enter to this very bright welcoming space. The owner Annalise greets you and serves you but also takes the time describing not only what is in the dish but where it comes from. The food was utterly fantastic with distinct flavors that make you want more. We had ten smoked salmon trout, and two home made past( home made pasta dishes: cavatelli with fish raga and ravioli stuffed with chicken goat cheese with olive flakes etc.

We enjoyed a great meal outside on a beautiful summer evening. Service was outstanding, attention to detail, presentation and dishes the best we enjoyed on our trip. Over all a wonderful experience dining at Il Portale.
