10/10One of the best meals I have had in Italy. Standouts were the fettucine alla canapa, guanciale, pachinko e ricotta salata and the semifreddo ricotta e pera, but everything was so good I hate to make a distinction. This is a destination restaurant. The picturesque abbey right on the river Nera is idyllic and strolling over the bridge before lunch (we were early), we were met by a herd of sheep being led by two sheepdogs! This is a must for anyone visiting this area!

10/10It was our third time in this restaurant. we come here when we visit Umbria every year and we are happy to see that the level of the food is still high..and also the service and the atmosphere. We will come again of course.

10/10Umbrian cooking of the highest quality with external influences. The starter with pear, walnuts and pecorino was fantastic. Iberian pork was a geographic anomaly but taste was wonderful. Guinea fowl and truffle strangozzi also looked great. Very good wine list including the local Annesanti in Valnerina. The Barbera was very good (probably becoming excellent after another year or two. Unfortunately the vineyard's highly unusual terra cotta fermented reds not on the list yet. This is a very good restaurant in a beautiful location.

9/10Dinner in a 13 century monastery. Magical. We had one of the gourmet tasting menus and one of the truffle tasting menus and one bottle of mid range wine. Food was good, but I'd suggest go for individual things, and try what you fancy instead of the menus. The setting is really beautiful. If you get a chance go a little earlier and walk around in the tiny town (123 population). Really idillic atmosphere. Straight from a fairly tail.

10/10This was our second visit. We dined outside in the abbey courtyard. The food and ambience never disappoints. It was full even on Tuesday so a reservation is always a good idea.

10/10The restaurant is located in an old abbey dating to 600ad. We ate in what was the monks former writing room. Couldn't have been more atmospheric. The food was phenomenal. I had a filet flambe' in cognac with truffles. This is high end cooking at a reasonable price. The proprietor looked after us as we spoke only English and explained each dish. The service was great and friendly. The evening was perfect. We will return!

10/10We are so excited and happy to have found this magnificent restaurant! There were 10 of us and we all tried various dishes and every single one was positively divine. From the service to the wonderful peaceful atmosphere, it was truly a remarkable experience and we will be back again and again! It is a little bit out-of-the-way but worth every hairpin turn to find it. Do not pass by this incredible face! You will not be disappointed

9.5/10I would certainly recommend this place. The food is local, well-presented and good. The service is pleasant. If you’re in the area or even few Kilometres away it’s worth that extra ‘mile’.
