Tucked away in the vibrant, historic Passage Brady, this spot feels like a true culinary escape right in the heart of the city. We stumbled upon it while exploring the 10th arrondissement and were absolutely blown away by the authentic Indian cuisine. The garlic naan was served fresh out of the tandoor, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was incredibly rich and perfectly spiced. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious, affordable Passage Brady Indian food!"

Located in the famous Passage Brady, and just a few minutes from Gare de l’Est and Gare du Nord, it’s an ideal stop after arriving by train. The Butter Chicken was creamy and full of flavor, the garlic naan was fresh, and the chicken biryani was perfectly spiced. If you’re searching for halal food in Paris city center, this place is a safe and delicious choice. Excellent service and very good prices for central Paris.

10/10We discovered Old Shalimar during a weekend in Paris and it quickly became our favorite spot for authentic Indian food. The restaurant offers a wide variety of classic dishes like butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb curry, and fresh cheese naan – all full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Portions are generous, prices very reasonable, and the lunch menu is a great value. The staff welcomed us warmly and created a cozy atmosphere. 10/10I’ve eaten at Old Shalimar a couple of times now and it’s quickly become my go-to spot for Indian food in Paris. The dishes actually taste like the ones I’ve had in India – rich flavours, good spices, nothing watered down. Portions are generous without being heavy and prices are fair. The place itself is simple and relaxed, nothing fancy, but the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful which makes the whole experience easy and pleasant. If you’re craving proper Indian food rather than the usual “French-style” curries, this is a solid choice.
