First of all, it was not busy on a Friday night. We should have realized that and left. My friend’s order came out wrong and the server was not willing to fix the issue, she simply blamed on miscommunication/language barrier which I disagreed. The server is young and certainly speaks English just fine. We didn’t bother to argue. We just won’t recommend this place and won’t come back. It’s like night and day compared to the restaurant next door which we went the night before.

The tuna steak was way too salty for my liking and the waitresses never came to check on us to see if the food was ok. I couldn't finish it as each bite was too uncomfortable. The dessert and the other courses were acceptable, but nothing to write home about.

The seafood tribute dish was delicious! my daughter ordered the steak and she loved it. We also got the calamari as an appetizer, highly reccomend. They have some interesting craft cocktails not to be missed. The server was lovely and very helpful.

The service was great. We started with the tuna tartar and the hot sauce it came with had the perfect amount of heat. I got the tribute to Cascais pasta and the seafood was so fresh. My boyfriend got the sirloin steak with the signature sauce and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce was really flavorful too. The banana pie was really good and was not what I expected it to be. Everything about it tasted very homemade and perfectly layered. The passionfruit sangria was very refreshing.

It was my third time at Sr. Manuel and the food is always amazing - this time we only ordered food to share and it was delicious. The service was great! Attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant is small and was a bit noisy when we arrived due to two groups but it got quieter after they left. Will definitely be back!

Was really looking forward to eating here having read the reviews. We ordered a crab starter which did not taste of crab. Our main courses arrived, prawns with garlic and coriander, flavour was good but they had obviously been sitting for a while and were only lukewarm. The other main was steak and chips, the chips were not hot, must have sitting around too. The prices did not reflect the quality of the food. We did give feedback to the waiting staff who I have to say dealt with it very well, a lovely waitress thanked us for our feedback, said she would let the chef know. We were offered a dessert on the house but at that stage we just wanted to leave. On receiving the bill, we were informed that the cost of a glass of wine each was being covered by the restaurant. Overall, a really disappointing experience, which was such a pity, every other restaurant we had been to was amazing.

Highly recommend!! Best restaurant experience in Portugal! Fresh seafood, reasonable price, attentive and well serviced staff, and beautiful street. Will be back again if we're in the area!

The service was very nice. I had the pasta with seafood and found it very blah, not enough salt or seasoning. My husband has the shrimp in ginger sauce which was better, but boring. Maybe serve that over rice.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Great suggestions. We shared shrimp, clams, fries, rice, squid, prego, salad and sauteed veg. Disappeared amongst the four of us including one relatively unadventurous four year old. Great meal.
